Events

1.      We require full payment of the event in advance and your booking is non refundable.

2.      Events are subject to availability and The Hambrough have the right to postpone the events.

The Hambrough Rooms

Rooms
If you intend to pay for someone’s stay and you will not be present at the point of check-in to show your payment card, for the protection of the card holder a completed Third Party Payment Form is required. This can be obtained by calling our reservations team on 01983 856333 or emailing info”thehambrough.com
Rooms cannot be transferred without prior notice. We are only able to check in guests who have booked and paid for the room online or via our reservations team.

Cancellation Policy for Hambrough Rooms
If you have to cancel your Room booking 8 days or more prior to the arrival date you will not be charged.  If you have to cancel your Room booking 48hrs – 7 days of the arrival date this will result in 50% of the Room rate for the duration of the original booking.  Cancelation within 48hrs of arrival will result in 100% of the full amount being deducted from your credit or debit card.

We strongly recommend that guests take out relevant travel insurance in case of cancellation – please bear in mind we have no control over the ferry services or any weather conditions which may affect your travel to The Hambrough.

Extra Person Charges for Hambrough Rooms
Extra persons in any room (more than two) are subject to a supplement
Children under 3 are FREE
Children over 3 and up to 10 – £15 per person, per night
Anyone 10 years and above – £30 per person, per night

Corkage for Hambrough Rooms
We would like to inform you that a corkage charge will be added to your bill for any wine or champagne which has not been purchased from our own list. The current charges are £15 wine, £25 champagne.

Villa Lavinia

Prices
The price of the accommodation is inclusive of gas, electricity and rates. You are not expected to clean the accommodation on departure however daily housekeeping is not included during your stay.
There are also other optional items to purchase in the villa such as bath products, Nespresso coffee, wine and Champagne.
On booking we require a 25% non-refundable deposit of the accommodation total.  Five weeks prior to your arrival we will also require full payment of the outstanding balance (accommodation).

Pets
We allow well behaved pets in the Villa Apartment only. There is an additional one off charge of £25  to cover the cost of cleaning.

Cancellation and Insurance

By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your stay and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay the booking in full even if you have not paid the balance.
If we succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid in full. Any refund would be subject to an administration charge of £30 as well as any difference in price of the new letting compared with the original price.
We would recommend that you take out insurance to cover this potential cost.

Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We are unlikely to be able to accommodate you earlier than this time due to the accommodation being cleaned after previous guests.

Late arrival procedure

Please ensure you contact us to let us know if you will be arriving late, we will do our very best to accommodate this.

Departure

Please leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Any outstanding monies will need to be settled on departure at The Hambrough as well as the return of keys. (Any unreturned keys will be charged to your account).

Please ensure that your accommodation is left in the condition that you would expect to arrive in.

The villa must be clear of any personal belongings – we will apply appropriate charges for the return of any items that are left behind.

Damages and Breakages

Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage, which you cause, to the accommodation and contents and exterior including garden area or its contents. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Occupancy

Villa Lavinia has a maximum capacity of 10 people and The Villa Apartment caters for 4. Infants below 18 months of age are not included in these numbers. Exceeding these limits will lead to termination of your stay with us. (No refund will be given if your stay is terminated by us for not adhering to the limits set out above)

Consideration of others

Whilst staying at the villa, we kindly ask that consideration be given to other guests and neighbours. Please be mindful especially late in the evening. Failure to do this may result in the termination of your stay.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

At The Hambrough we are committed to protecting and preserving the privacy of our visitors when visiting our site or communicating electronically with us.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our website, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure. Whilst we will keep all of your personal information confidential, we reserve the right to disclose this information in the circumstances as set out within this policy. We confirm that we will keep the information on a secure server and that we will comply fully with all applicable UK Data Protection legislation and regulations in force from time to time.

We may change this Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes. By using our website, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about services, if you directly give us any information via forms and if you sign up to receive email newsletters.

Your privacy is important to us and we confirm that we will never release your personal details to any third party for their mailing or marketing purposes. The data that we collect is detailed below:

  • Information that you provide us as a result of filling in forms on our website, such as registering for information.

IP Addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including but not limited to (where available), your IP address, operating system and browser type for administration purposes and to produce internal reports. This is statistical data relating to a web user’s browsing actions and patterns and does not specifically identify you as an individual.

  • if you consent, to notify you of products or special offers that may be of interest to you.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third-party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process payments and send you email). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

Third Party Product Providers we work in association with: We work with carefully selected Online Travel Agents (OTAs e.g. Booking.com). When you enquire about or book with these third parties, the relevant third-party product provider will use your details to provide you with information and carry out their obligations arising from any contracts you have entered into with them. They will be acting as a data controller of your information and therefore we advise you to read their Privacy Policy. These third-party product providers will share required information about you with us (e.g. room type purchased and dates of stay) which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation, or if we’re under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of our supporters and customers. However, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

How Do I opt out?

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you no longer want to receive direct marketing communications from us about the hotel and our favourite local areas, then you can change your preferences or completely unsubscribe in one of two ways:

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

The Hambrough utilises the services of third party organisations to process your personal data. As the data controller, The Hambrough determines the purposes and means of the processing of your personal data. Where your data is processed by any third party on behalf of The Hambrough, that third party is a processor under the GDPR. We confirm that we take steps in order to ensure that this data is processed lawfully under the law in accordance with each agreement that we have in place with each processor.
